I love doing Norfolk wedding photography, as there are some absolutely beautiful venues in the area, and Hannah and Will’s wedding at Elms Barn was certainly no exception. Hannah and Will are a great couple – really full of fun – and their wedding was particularly unique. I love it when a couple make their wedding really personal and Hannah and Will certainly put a lot of themselves into the day, in a few very surprising ways.
Norfolk Engagement Photography
I’d met Hannah and Will prior to the wedding, and had the pleasure of shooting their engagement photographs. One particular shot pleased them so much that they used it for their save the date cards, which was a really nice touch. On the day itself, I was able to capture some great shots of Hannah getting ready for her big day, and her happiness was clearly evident. However, there was a mischievous glint in her eye, which was a promise of the fun to come….
Ace of Spades
The guests were assembled for the ceremony, Hannah was walking down the aisle, when suddenly the first few riffs of Motorhead’s “Ace of Spades” rang out, completely stunning the guests! I was in a great position to get Hannah’s mums reaction at this point, which was one of utter shock, followed by absolute hysterics! The fun didn’t end there though. Hannah and Will also had a petting zoo after the ceremony, complete with boa constrictor and tarantula as extra guests – I was able to get some great shots of the guests posing with all manner of lizards, snakes and spiders, and it has certainly provided some very unique wedding photography opportunities!
Of course, despite the differences between this and some traditional weddings, there was one thing the same – the love and romance of the day still held firm, and as a wedding photographer in Norfolk I know there are some amazing backdrops in the local area, and I was able to capture some romantic moments in the sunshine, providing a perfect picture of the love between this happy couple.
As a wedding photographer in Norfolk, it’s always nice to receive great comments on the photos you’ve captured, and I was pleased to read Hannah and Will’s testimonial – they really do love their photographs – snakes and all!
