Parklands Quendon Hall | Wedding Photographer Cambridge

Elizabeth & Steve’s Wedding Wintery Wedding

Wow what a fabulous wedding! Elizabeth & Stephen make such an amazing couple who are so in love and it was with great pleasure that I, as a Cambridge wedding photographer was given the opportunity to spend the day capturing their wedding, documentary style.  They chose Parklands, Quendon Hall and this venue suited them perfectly.  Add in snow to the mix and as a professional Cambridge wedding photographer I could not have picked a better location, as you can tell from the documentary style photos the day was simply spectacular.

Faced with the worst snowfall in almost thirty years, Britain was covered making Stephen and Elizabeth’s wedding as an unexpected “Winter Wonderland” theme.  In fact the grass glistening in the bright sunshine among the grounds of Parklands Quendon Hall only made the photos extra special.

Even with the snow the day could not have been more perfect.  From the word go the day was filled with smiles, laughter and love from start to finish, an absolute delight to capture through the lens.

Parkland Quendon Hall

Situated in one of the oldest deer parks in the United Kingdom, Parklands Quendon Hall is a luxury venue available on an exclusive basis for couples wanting an intimate place to share the most important day of their lives.  The grounds make my job as a wedding photographer an easy one because the backdrop is simply out of this world, the perfect setting for reception drinks and a play in the snow as Elizabeth and Stephen did while I used my skills as a professional Cambridge wedding photographer to capture the first moments as a married couple.

Once inside the 17th century house located on the Essex and Hertfordshire border you cannot help but admire the exquisite decor and the romantic feel it oozes.  Set in over one hundred acres of park away from the hustle and bustle of day to day life this property has the look and feel of something that has come out of a romance novel so is not surprising why so many couples including Stephen and Elizabeth choice this as their number one wedding venue and also why it is a ideal venue for a wedding photographer.  As a wedding photographer this has to be one of my favourite venues in the Hertfordshire and Essex region.

Documentary Wedding Photography

I took the opportunity to take pictures documentary style of guests mingling and chatting in the reception room.  I am a big fan of documentary photography because there is nothing better than capturing the emotions and laughter of the day than when people are not aware they are being photographed.

Elizabeth and Stephen celebrated their marriage and had their wedding reception in the bright and spacious banqueting hall which overlooked the south lawn which at this point may I add was covered in snow making us feel warm and cosy inside watching the dreamy snowy look outside.

Although the snow was not planned for, the colder and whiter days can make it the most romantic times of the year as you imagine being snuggled in front of the fire and the spring sunshine shining onto the crisp white snow.

We are so pleased with how the documentary photographs turned out and I wish Stephen and Elizabeth a life time of happiness.
